Why it pays

One new patient isn't one appointment.

It's check-ups, hygienist visits and the occasional crown, for years.

One a month changes the sum

You're not weighing this against a phone bill.

Lost at ordinary times

The lunch hour, and ten past five.

And while reception is busy

With the patient standing at the desk.

30 minutes free. No card.

What it does

Reception cover, not clinical cover.

Answers in your practice's name, 24/7
Takes new-patient enquiries properly
Answers treatment, fee and hours questions
Requests bookings for your team to confirm
Texts you the details within seconds
Never gives clinical advice

Straight answer

If your list is closed, you don't need this.

No new patients means no gap for this to fill — we'd rather say so than sell you something you'll cancel.

Growing the private side

That's where it earns its place.

Reception genuinely stretched

One person, one desk, one phone.

It rings out at lunchtime

You know it does. Nobody has counted the cost.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Will it give patients clinical advice?

No, and that's a hard line rather than a setting. It takes enquiries, answers questions about your treatments, fees and opening hours from what you've told it, and books or requests appointments. Anything clinical goes to your team.

How does it handle a dental emergency out of hours?

However you tell it to. Most practices have it take the details, give the out-of-hours guidance they already use, and send an immediate alert — rather than leaving someone in pain listening to a voicemail greeting at 11pm.

Can it book into our practice management system?

Not directly out of the box. It takes the booking details and holds them for your reception to confirm, which most practices prefer anyway because the diary has constraints the caller doesn't know about. Live integration is custom work — tell us which system you run.

What about patient data and GDPR?

Calls are recorded and transcribed and held against your practice's account, which means you need to tell callers they're being recorded — the same as any practice using call recording. Our privacy policy sets out how the data is processed and how long it's kept.

Will patients realise it's AI?

Some will and some won't, and we don't pretend otherwise. It answers in your practice's name and holds a normal conversation. What it never does is leave a new-patient enquiry ringing out at lunchtime.

What does it cost?

From £29 a month for 100 minutes, with 30 minutes free to try and no card. Worth setting against the lifetime value of a single new patient.
